UST Paskuhan 2013

UST Paskuhan 2013

Hi guys! I want to share what happened during PASKUHAN! And man I tell you! It was not glamorous at all. Not pretty! Like, quite messy but fun in some ways. I have been attending Paskuhan for quite a while now and I think this is not the best that I have been. Let's start from the start. We arrived really really early for the occasion. Say, 4 pm? The Paskuhan is not until 7 so we really tried our best to beat our own record. I think our earliest time is around 5 ish. So since we were early, we decided to have merienda first.

cousin and I
sister dear

We went to Santorini! Again, that might not be any News to you at all since you probably know by now that I love going there. Also, we had some milkshakes from Indulgence.  And then we went back to the field. I tell you it was rather a very rainy Paskuhan. Like to the point where we weren't able to use the newspapers (to sit on) I prepared. It's just a floody/muddy mess.

It all started with a mass and during the mass, I was really hoping that the rain would stop immediately. It didn't fail me. That much. It continued raining for a while after the mass and stopped for good after probably an hour.

I really really feel so bad that we left during the mass but we didn't really mean it. We're just avoiding getting wet and probably sick. We didn't leave as in leave though. We stayed on the pavement where there are trees to shelter us sort of.

this is all we get
And this Paskuhan is really different because there's no fireworks and stuff but the priest told us that it wouldn't be a Paskuhan without Fireworks so this happened.

HAPPY US
Main Building is Gorgeous!

After the mass, we gladly went back on track. And what's nice in this year's Paskuhan is that there are few mono blocks and I guess we were lucky to be able to get some for ourselves. One thing I really wanted to achieve each Paskuhan is to get closer in front. Like, god knows how far we were on stage for like 4-5 years and yeah this Paskuhan is the closest we were on stage and yay for us!

this is how close we were
I would still prefer us being at the center of the field though but this is a lot better than being at the back or somewhere not in front. Quite an achievement. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the beautiful but awkwardly positioned chandelier.

Danita Paner
People would probably say Joyce Pring but I'd say Danita is the most gorgeous person I've seen on stage that night. Irrelevant information.

My favorite performer? RICO BLANCO! Like, it's not even debatable. He's just so good! The rest was also good but he's just the best. The performances were great! I don't have anything bad to say about the performances but man they really started too late.

I think it's because of the rain or something but still, it was annoying. I think they started at around 8:30 and the thing is we weren't able to finish all the performances and stuff because I was expecting a 12am wrap up but this time around they still have 2 bands on queue at 1:30 in the morning. Also, they were cutting performances. I mean, the host would come out all of a sudden during a short pause thinking the performance is done but yeah I think they were rushing things already. Oh well.

who's haggard?
I have duty in the morning so we really have to go home so we did.  That's about my Paskuhan experience guys. See yah!

Office Christmas Party

Office Christmas Party
This might be a little boring but I just want to share with you guys our little Christmas Party. Mostly pictures because I don't really have much to share well except for a crazy taxi ride on our way there. As I was saying guys, we rode a taxi from the City Hall to the venue and although it was a struggle to find one that would lead us to the place, we managed to ride one but this is what happened. Let's just start this blog with a picture for featured photo's sake. LOL.

So I am quite familiar to the place since we've been dining around the area quite occasionally and this taxi driver agreed to take us to the place, right? He was going to the right direction at first and I actually kind of remember the exact place of the venue but when he passed by that place, I was like, okay, maybe I was wrong and then he went straight somewhere and I was like, bitch wait! I asked the driver ever so politely if he thinks we already passed by the place and he was like " where are we going again?" and I was like, somebody stop me! LOL.

who run the world?

It's probably a tactic. He probably thought we don't know where we're going and he's gonna roam around so that the charge meter would go higher and stuff. So that's the story folks. Anyways. It was relatively a short night. We basically had dinner. But they did give the 13th month pay that time which was unannounced and they said it would be given some other day so that was a surprise.

Photo bombing fail (sort of)
giving my gift
receiving my gift
Also, we exchanged gifts which was also a highlight. I mean, we have wish-lists though. I don't like the idea of wish listing. It's like having someone buy something for you. Why don't you just buy it yourself then? I know it's a guarantee that you'll like the gift but the essence of giving is lost along the process. Somebody stop that shit. Okay that's all I have for this post guys! Expect a lot more Christmasy thing and yeah see yah! Merry Christmas!

Everyday Cheers!

Everyday Cheers!

I look very pale nowadays. But that's besides the point. Hello there guys.

Recently, I got a recommendation from my sister about this tea place near her school. Well my previous school too to be proper. She said it's pretty nice and somehow hidden. That I like for sure. First thing she recommended me is their Smores! I have been looking for a place that serves this for so long and I'm just lucky to be able to find one.

SMORES <3

It's a pretty small piece for what it's worth I think but whatever. It's quite good. Not good as in GOOD but uhm good enough. And also, not that expensive actually.

My cousin who doesn't really like marshmallows enjoyed it too. So that's nice.

Oh I'm pretty disappointed with their teas though. We both had something from the Rock Salt but yeah it was such a disappointment at some point. I mean, not really that good. Not even average kind of.

My cousin got the Dark Chocolate and I got their Wintermelon tea. I wouldn't recommend either of it.

What I liked though is their Waffle. Blueberry Cream Cheese to be exact. Will review more flavors soon but yeah definitely try this out if you may.

Their fries is okay and they serve it i this mason jar kind of thing and yeah nice one. I think it's pretty small for the price though. Anyways. That's all I have for you guys. See yah!

Japan Goodies

Japan Goodies

Hey guys! This is kind of a late post for it has been a week since dad arrived from Japan and as you may have guessed already, yes! These are all gone now. And my favourite? Effing KAMABOKO! So good! So good! I like it with cheese though. And some random chocolates. I didn't like the middle chocolate though. The one from Fujiya. It's so greasy and it feels like it's covered in wax or something. So I suggest you eat it unfrozen or uncooled instead. It might work that way!

These! <3 I remember when eating these anytime anywhere is a thing. Well, winter time that is. But this is like my favorite fruit next to peachy peach peach. But I probably told you about that already.

And these! These though can be bought here in the Philippines already but they're kind of expensive so dad made sure to get us that. I think my fave is well it actually depends but I like the one with liquor. It's just nice. Well that's all for this post just want to keep up with y'all! :)

Simple Joys

October 26, 2013 0
Simple Joys
Not so long ago, my cousin turned 6. It was such a simple celebration but it was perfect. Sometimes simple things matter most. We went to Cavite to celebrate and below are the pictures that we took. :))

This is the oh so cute cake that my mom got for my cousin. As you can see from the picture above though, they kind of messed up with my cousin's name and placed "YASHI" instead and then my cousin pointed out their mistake and they kind of remedied nalang. Oh well. It's alright.

The pictures (above and below this text) are kind of a fail because I made an effort in like somehow squatting and then no one went behind me for us to fit in the frame. It's just that my grandma is literally behind the tall peeps so yeah. If only! If only!

I wish my little cousin all the happiness in life. I mean, he's probably too young to be problematic and all that. I think he's all good as for now but you know, it's actually tough to predict everything. Just rambling yeah? Yeah.

I like celebration like this. Like, even though it was such a simple celebration, we were together and happy. I still feel bad for those who weren't able to come and celebrate with us. Next time! :)

Oath Taking for New Med Techs

Oath Taking for New Med Techs

Hola guys! I just want to share with you what happened awhile ago. Well awhile ago, the Oath Taking for Newly Registered Medical Technologist happened. I am pretty sure I showed you guys the tickets I bought last time. I feel kind of bad that I don't have a picture with my mom. Well except that one that was taken by a "professional" photographer well actually, maybe just camera. I have to have a rant by the way but I just want this blog post alone to be somehow full of good memories so I'll just skip that part for now. So basically I was confused whether or not to attend the ceremony but okay here's the thing, if you don't need your license as in physically yet, you can choose not to attend. Not really mandatory. But you have to take your pledge somewhere else. PRC.

The lady at the counter when I bought tickets told me that I have to be at the venue at 7 and I was there at 7. Luckily, I saw 3 other inductees before me so I was not feeling that bad at all. They opened the venue at around 8:30 and basically made us wait for like ever. I should have done my hair first instead of rushing straight to the venue so early in the morning.  Anyways.

gotta deal with messy hair
The first friend I saw was Fai. She was in the same review center as I and like not at all hard to be friends with so we get along quite well. It was awesome to see her.

Dea, myself, and Kim
I am so proud of my girls! These girls are my co-interns/post mates from my second internship and actually, Kim right there made it to the second rank. Good job Kim!

myself and Krizzuh
Also my co-intern since the beginning of internship and my post mate on my second in. Also, my fourth year classmate so we're pretty much together at those times and yeah, we had so much fun awhile ago like talking and catching up and somehow clapping randomly and stuff LOL. And also taking pictures! :D

THUMBS UP FOR TWO CUPS OF COFFEE! :)
Dela Cruz E.A., 2013

So the food. I was so ready to get disappointed. But actually, it's not THAT disappointing. I mean, it won't make you full but it's not totally rubbish at all. It's not that pleasing but it's quite okay. Some people from the upper batch said that the food is not like delicious and stuff but it's okay. Just don't expect much. I actually had two cups of coffee so I'm quite happy.

Oh also! I have noticed that the venue's lighting is so poor that we got excited about the ladies room's lighting. Weird. LOL. I really wished they set up more lights there. It's just so inconvenient especially when reading the pledge and stuff.

myself, Jam, and Jay
That's all for this entry guys. I don't know what to feel about it. I'm quite happy that I attended but at the same time was so doubtful about the fee I paid. I could have bought 4 new mascaras or something but yeah. I just wish they would improve their program and stuff because honestly, people got bored and was just talking to each other and stuff and as much as I don't blame them, I kind of blame them for not coming up with a more interesting program. I don't know.

I actually went there for this. Because I want to have it already and since I have been practicing the profession without these on my hands, it's more of an obligation for me to attend and pledge and stuff so yeah. I had fun.

Noodly Kind of Day

September 23, 2013 0
Noodly Kind of Day

I don't know but for some reason, with all the post it notes surrounding the room, I think the room is kind of getting smaller. Which is not really okay I think. Also, as much as I appreciate the Korean TV vibe, I hope they would improve the screen and make the TV bigger somehow.

I was craving for this one and I wasn't actually even hungry that time. I went to a government agency to get something and then we went to PRC and then to UST to get the alumni card (fail) so yeah. And yeah I was craving for this all through out. But not only this!

Cousin craved for Dynamite and so I craved for it as well.

But then I ended up liking this more. My cousin doesn't like spicy food that much so she probably had 4 chopstickfuls of this and it was me who finished this. I liked this! Will probably crave for this next time. No regrets!

Despite my cousin not liking spicy food, she finished these side dishes almost all by herself! Who are you kidding, woman? LOL.

Finished the meryenda/dinner with these babies. Love love love this! I think I was disappointed because the cheesecake was out of stock and so no choice, we had choco.

Just beware though! It's gonna be gone just like that! LOL. This is like very light and I told my cousin I might be able to eat three of this consecutively. Just because it's that light. It's like eating nothing deliciously.

My cousin eating deliciously. I hope they would restock with their cheesecake! And I hope it would be as good as imagine it to be.
