Cebu Pacific | Lost Luggage(s)!

So, you work hard abroad and take home as much as you can for the people left behind to enjoy! You arrive in the airport and it's all gone! Surprise!

So you know, I don't really know what happened to that. I mean, they did an initial investigation for 24 hours and no luck. So they said they would do a full week investigation. Okay fine by me. (TBC...)

Can I just share first what I have to go through just to get to the airport? This is no BS guys! Like, hear me out. Okay. So the first thing in the morning, my mother’s friend was supposed to fetch me from my apartment to the bus station because I have like 50 kilos of baggage with me so there would be no way I can go there on my own easily. I was supposed to be at the airport around 10:30 and as we all know, I don't want to risk myself being late again this time because you know. So anyway this is what happened. The service didn't arrive on time so I had to move! My goodness gracious!

I will miss this view

50 kilos man! I have 2 big luggages that are 18 kilos each. Then a backpack around 5 kilos. Then I have 2 shoulder bags! 1 for  gifts because I am over the limit of my allowed check-in and 1 for my personal stuff/documents/scarves. Oh my gulay! I tried. I tried walking from home to the station. Now, I know that path very well because I walk there in and out of my way to work. So on a very good day, it's an 8 minutes walk. Because I have all these luggages, 25 minutes have already passed and I'm still nowhere near the station. I then saw mama's friend lurking and it turned out he forgot where I live and was circling the area for quite a while. Even though he's late, I was relieved that he found me on my weakest state. Man, I stop every 10 steps just to catch my breathe. Tell you something though, I think I was pulling my luggage wrong. I should have pushed it instead. But still! 50 kilos is 50 kilos. So yeah Machida is like 25 minutes away from where I live and when he found me, I only have like 20 minutes of spare time before the bus leaves. I know it's not good but I kept pressuring my driver to go faster. I mean, I'm sure you would have done the same. RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC man. So when we were already in Machida, we stopped at the sign and we saw the bus left. In fairness to me though, I was very calm the whole process considering. I also searched for alternate routes already because calm under pressure. Ojisan offered me a ride up to Yokohama where I planned on riding the airport train from but the traffic would actually make the commute longer than if I just ride the train to Yokohama on my own. AND SO I VOYAGED. RUSH HOUR!!!!! My goodness, with so many things on my arms, I can feel every movement of the passengers. Like, man, EVERY EFFIN MOVEMENT I tell you. My shoulder bags often gets tugged when someone goes on or off the train and man, I feel like my arms are getting ripped off my shoulders. And I know I already get frowned upon because I have so many baggages with me so I don't dare complain if I get bumped whatever. I can't believe I made it through that actually. Good news is that I actually made it to the airport on time. HA!

Last meal at the airport (I digress)

So when I arrived at the boarding gate, the flight was late!! I mean, not late late though. The boarding time was later than the said time and the flight was just about 10 minutes late.

Last Selfie in Japan

When I arrived in Manila, I went to the rest room first, right? Then I went to the Duty Free there to buy chocolates. Then I was cleared by the immigration and went to the baggage claim area. I was so happy because I saw my VIOLET baggage right away. I was like, yas! EASY. Then I waited. Then waited some more. WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED AND POOF! The conveyor belt stopped. I was like, "Excuse me sir, I still don't have everything with me." and the guy told me to tell the Cebu Pacific crew there and so I did. She was pretty shookt that two of mine are missing. And I am actually not the only one there with a complaint. There were three of us. Like, my goodness. The oldest of us three approached me, saw my Japanese passport, "Haponesa pa pala ito. Nakakahiya." I was really pissed off so I don't remember engaging in a conversation with the old lady. So yeah she asked us to go with her to the customer service desk and asked us to write a report while they check inside for any luggages. NO LUCK there. I wrote the report and they promised to call in the next 24 hours to give an update. They did call saying they don't have a lead and would now proceed with the full investigation that would take a week. Also promised to call everyday for an update. They missed 2 days of the week I think. NOT COOL. 7 days have passed and I got a call asking if I still want to give them time to look for it. I SAID YES. So yeah...This time I'm not receiving any more calls from them until the 3rd day. THEY CAN'T LOCATE IT FO' REAL. So they asked me how much do I think the worth of my stuff is. I totally misjudged and said around 80,000 yen which is not at all the case! It would have been close to 100,000 yen because some of the stuff I bought from Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul. And I have a lot of expensive stuff from my personal things that I decided not to give away coz duh they're expensive like my Versace make-up bag, Fendi shirt, Chanel shirt, Samantha Thavasa coin purse that I got as a parting gift from people I care about at work, my 3rd digital camera in life that I'm sure is an antique by now, my review materials for an exam I am preparing for, and so many more that money can't even buy! Chocolates! Gifts! Souvenirs! And whatever kilos remaining of that 25 kilos of my missing stuff. Anyways, yeah they called like 3 days or so after that last call with the price and said they can only give me 30,000 pesos. GOODNESS GRACIOUS. 11 days of missing baggages and 30,000 pesos?!? I mean, I should have been payed per day of missing stuff as well but come on! First of all, where did that go? If it's another passenger who took my stuff intentionally, don't worry, a lot of us in the family wished that the chocolates be sooo bad you end up really sick. Like SOOO bad. And that KARMA hits you really hard! Like, HARD. If anything horrible happens to you, know that I can't say I feel bad. But if it's airport staff inside who took it intentionally, I wish you get hit by a plane about to take-off/about to land. And then you survive to feel the pain. You know what, since you think I can live without my hard-earned stuff, why don't we take off one of your legs? Yeah let's do that. The system should be changed. Security! More security! I don't think people in the Philippines should be trusted equally. Cebu Pacific, I am soo disappointed! You could do better! SO DO THAT. Whoever took my stuff, SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!

And then you have the audacity to send this survey to me. I know it's automated but still! In fairness to me though, I still answered honestly. SHAME ON YOU though!
