Sister's Birthday Reunion at Dad's

Time flies. I can't believe that my vacation is almost over. But mostly, I can't believe that my youngest sister is already 15. Where did the time go? We went to Dad's Manila with the clan to celebrate both her Birthday and my Sayonara. It was quite an event.

It was my first time there that day and yeah, I was happy because there was so much food and I feel like it's impossible to have it all.

This restaurant is actually a fusion of everything. Japanese, Filipino, and some other cuisine. Before going, I was like, gonna eat Filipino food lang. But I failed. Hahaha

They did have a very wide range of choices so you know, you'll never go amiss. I think. Yeah. Whatever floats your boat.

Sister and Catherine indulging.

First Plate

I was a little Carnivore-ish on my first attempt. Satay, Lechon, Turkey, Sisig, and some more meats that I forgot.

Second Plate

Second plate was like, gonna have to balance it with veggies so I did got lots of cauliflowers, squid, Spicy Jellyfish, and some others.

Third Plate

For some reason, my third plate was more of the appetizers hahaha. Also, I can't stand not to eat salmon.

Fourth Plate

Fourth plate was sweets! Not in the picture but I think the Tiramisu and their Blueberry Cheesecake was my fave. Man, I was so full that I can't even. Like, RIP Diet. But it was sooo worth the calories.

My wish is actually to have a photo of us cousins all together in one picture. We are missing four here. Lamers! :))

Goodbye guys! Until we see each other again. Ciao!

Balsa sa Niugan

Recently, we went to this place called Balsa sa Niugan to try their sisig because  I have heard so many great things about this place. Luckily, it's only like 30 minutes away from where I live.

Lolo and my brother

The place is quite chill and uncrowded. They were having a wedding when we went so we were kind of secluded.

My kuya requested for the noodles. I didn't eat much of it because we already ordered so much food so I can't really review it for you. The sisig though was great so I can see why people are raving about it.

The chicken was okay but the sinigang na bangus belly was very good. Also, if you're at it, try their crispy pata. Because. The price was okay as well. For 5 dishes, 7 cups of garlic rice, and 4 drinks, our bill was only at 1600+ php.

The view was also beautiful. We had our moments.

I'm glad we were able to try their food.

Family

I went with my bestfriend as well and you know, she's like a family member I never had.

The golden trio.

If you can, do try to eat at this place.Ciao!

Star City with babies

The guardians. Since it's been a while since I got together with my cousins, I decided to gather the kids and go to an amusement park with the eldest "cousin" and Bestie.

My fave. I don't know if I shared this but you know in this blog yet but Peter Pan is actually my ish.

Then we queued for the classic giant sway boat and yeah. My sisters are actually okay with rides. Our two teenage cousins though. Hahaha they were cute.

To sort of calm the situation, we decided to walk thru this maze first before riding any big rides.

I think this might be one of the few times I was able to hang out with my cousins (left side) because usually when our families get together, we usually just eat and often times we dine separately, you know. Like, different tables and stuff so even though I didn't get to hang out with 3 other cousins, 2 of them being extremely young to hang-out and 1 celebrating his mum's birthday, this day is phenomenal.

Pirate stuff is also my ish. I wish they would widen the ride and come up with more surprises though.

Surf Dance, I noticed kind of shortened its running time which I didn't like. I mean, it used to be my favorite-ish but now, not so. It's still good though.

Sisterly love. I guess I'm lucky to have a bestfriend that my sisters treat as their own so we're like a family there.

sister and bestie

There are a lot of new stuff in Star City and I was happy to be able to roam around and try.

Besties since 1996. True story hahaha. Well with my cousin and bestfriend, it's been around almost 8 years now so yeah it's been a while for us all.

The view from the gondola is beautiful with all the lights on. I don't know, it's coming of age or something but I am enjoying slow rides more nowadays. Like, relaxing rides.

Trying out this Korean craze. Confused as I am, I think it's better to try it yourself.

Also, there's this new annex that has some awesome rides.

Annex

Too bad Cat wasn't able to insert herself here. This should be like all of us.

Christmas Lights
Our last ride

Even though this is maybe for 2-3 years old, our big old group still rode this and it was kind of embarassing but still, you gotta do what you gotta do. Ciao!

Retrying J.Co Donuts

I have mentioned before that I don't really  go gaga over J.Co. But I don't hate it, you know. If it's within my reach, I'd gladly make myself a cup of coffee and munch on!

I don't know what's the situation now with this but 2 years ago, you couldn't have this doughnuts if you wouldn't fall in line for maybe like 15 minutes minimum. Did the hype subside?

Blueberry More

I chose these two flavors because I remember liking them before. Or did I?

Alcapone

This almond flavored one is probably what I enjoyed more. Or I don't know. Not sure of everything lately. Ciao!

Emotions. A lot of it.

I'm already 23 years old. Young to have experienced it all, yes. But old enough to know things even when it doesn't necessarily directly apply to me.

Blogged: April 7, 2012

Well, being left alone as to say. Let me tell you a story. I used to have this Vietnamese friend from Sydney, Australia. I met him when I decided I wanted to study French (I still do) and I would be willingly teach that person English/Japanese/Filipino. Well this guy wanted to learn Japanese. He didn't teach me French because he only knows English but he was actually awesome. He's very down to earth, kind, bubbly, sweet, and everything you could ask for. We used to talk everyday, every effing night for let's say 2 years. I actually ended up not teaching him the language at all haha. We talk about the most random stuff. Like, sometimes he would call and not say anything at all. And we're fine with that. Sweet silence. Most of the time he would say sweet things, we listen to his or my playlist and all that but you know, 3 years ago, after that 2 years of consistent communication, it stopped. No warning. I mean, I don't know why but it got me real hard. I guess part of my disappointment is that I expected too much. Who wouldn't, right? But you know, he's not even my boyfriend. I assumed. It was like me not wanting to talk to anyone that time. My friends and family excluded of course. Other guys to be specific. After 2-3 years of no formal communication, we managed to somehow try to reach out again. For me it was a form or closure. An assurance that we still are friends. Once in a while, we text.

Blogged: November 11, 2012

There are still scattered blogpost about this guy but you know, overtime, I learned to accept. I guess time was really just in our favour and magically fixed everything. We're cool.

I am going thru the same crisis right now. This is not even the story. But the same thing. A more complicated story actually. As much as possible I don't want this to end because it's beautiful but I guess sometimes things are really meant to end and teach us a lesson. Whatever that is, we'll learn later in life. It's painful now, yes. It's painful even just to think that tomorrow might not be the same anymore. More or less, I think we would know when to let go. We're just really denying it and just trying to deal with the pain well in fact, it's about time. Time to free ourselves of things that once made us happy and sad at the same time. It's complicated. But it's gonna be alright. You know, thinking about what I went thru 3 years ago, I know it's gonna be hard but at the end, it's gonna be okay. Not right ahead but eventually. You shouldn't be in a situation (for too long) where you feel worthless. Ciao!

A day in Cavite and MORE

My auntie summoned us to her lovely home so from Manila, we travelled for like an hour (I think) to Cavite.

My first boodle fight. I was actually informed about this ahead so I was really looking forward to this. We had stuffed squid, pork chop, Tilapia, and kare-kare. Man, I was really full.

Nailed it!

At night, we went to a place called Evia Mall where they have this lighted things set-up. We were there for two things. Coffee and pictures.

Younger cousin, myself, and eldest.

After all the pictures, it's time to have a drink and guess what? Hanggang labas ang pila! Crazy. It must have been national coffee day that day or something. Like, it was my first time to see a line that long. I never in my life queued that long. Grabe lang. Anyways.

Even though a little skeptical, I still tried this. To be honest, even though I knew I wouldn't like it because it's peppermint and I knew it's gonna taste like toothpaste and stuff, I'm kinda into it. I don't know but it's ironic how I thought I wouldn't like this when my favorite ice cream flavor is actually Choco Mint. So me.

I know this is like "A DAY" post but the next day, my co-worker from Japan contacted me and asked if I can meet her for lunch at Baclaran. So we did.

Then when I got home, I probably had like 15 minutes of rest and then we went to the mall to watch a movie. We watched My Bebe Love. It was alright. Nakakakilig but you know, very predictable.

Then you know, before we go home, we had dinner. Hahaha my mom holding the menu. Ciao! :)
